Increased traffic is desired by everyone. However, the majority do not know how to excel at the one thing that ensures their website is so crowded that it is like a Los Angeles freeway during rush hour. That is, they are not looking for enough keywords for marketing.
Obviously, reading just one article will not make you an expert. However, I can at least start finding the best search terms with a lot of visitors. To achieve this, I will divulge four of my cherished keyword research guidelines.
I'm glad you have a keyword research plan! Here are four additional tips that may be helpful:
- Use long-tail keywords: These are more specific, multiple-word phrases that are less competitive and often have higher conversion rates. They are also more likely to be used by people who are ahead of the process and ready to make a purchase.
- Consider the purpose of the search: Are people looking for information, trying to solve a problem, or ready to buy something? This will help you decide which keywords to target and how to optimize your website for those keywords.
- Check search volume and level of competition: Use the keyword research tool to see how many people are searching for a particular keyword and how much competition is there for that keyword.
- Use negative keywords: These are the keywords you don't want your website to show. For example, if you sell outdoor gear, you can use the word "free" as a negative keyword to prevent your website from appearing in search results for "free outdoor
How can I improve my keywords?
Simplicity is my first rule of thumb. Don't accept obvious keyword phrases. I know. It seems clear.
For example, the phrase "Easter baskets" receives 120 searches per day. Despite competing with an
additional 420,000 pages.
Not far off. However, I prefer less difficulty. Especially when Personal Easter Baskets has only 615 competitors and receives 109 daily searches.
See how one word can make a huge difference? Similar to how lightning differs from lightning bugs, right? Because there aren't nearly as many competing pages and you get about the same number of searches.
The next secret tip is to determine which form is best by comparing the plural and singular forms. Because most webmasters tend to make the wrong choice when it comes to doing so.
Consider the search term “golden earrings,” which receives 168 searches per day across all search engines and has 1,540,000 competing Google Pages. While Golden Earring has 440,000 competitors and receives 84 daily searches, in other words, it competes with less than a third of searchers for half of all searches. So, we are on the right track. Best of all, every day 52 people search for “Italian gold earrings”. And he just has to fight off 514 annoying enemies. Or something like a slam dunk.
The third strategy for doing keyword research entails grabbing the easiest targets. Or what I refer to as "orphan keywords".
When searching for the exact phrase, you should target search terms with fewer than 1,000 competing pages on Google. Even better under 500.
Naturally, your page is more likely to appear in the top 10 for a search term when you are within 10 out of 10 competitor pages. These are the true "orphan keywords". The so-called result of the negligence of your opponents.
Next, don't forget to consider the alternatives. Just like your potential customers.
How do I master keywords?
Imagine that you are running a law firm in California. The term "criminal defense attorney" is one option. This gets 131 searches, but another 1,450,000 pages compete. These possibilities do not excite me. In addition, the term is not particularly accurate.
I discovered that Los Angeles Criminal Defense Attorney receives 85 searches per day after digging deeper. And there are only 111,100 pages to win. not bad.
Further investigation reveals 84 daily searches for "County Criminal Defense Attorney". However, it only contains 575 competing pages. Bye Dirt!
What are the three main factors of a keyword?
You've found a search term that has at least as many searches as the generic term you started with again. However, there are only a few competing pages to contend with. I rarely neglect to do so. In fact, a thorough search of your keyword universe will reveal dozens of such treasures.
What are the five main purposes of a website?
Here are five common website purposes:
- To provide information: Many websites exist primarily to provide information on a specific topic or group of topics. This could be a company's product or service offerings, news and current events, or general knowledge on a particular topic.
- To sell products or services: Many websites exist to sell products or services directly to consumers. This could be physical products, digital products, or services such as consulting or training.
- To facilitate communication: Websites can be used to facilitate communication between individuals or groups. This could be through forums, messaging systems, or social media integrations.
- For entertainment: Some websites exist primarily to entertain visitors with games, videos, or other interactive content.
- To facilitate transactions: Websites can be used to facilitate transactions such as booking travel arrangements, purchasing tickets, or making reservations.
Never lose sight of the fact that keyword marketing research is the main factor in determining whether or not your niche website will be successful. These guidelines can help you optimize your keyword marketing more effectively. Which in turn will make it easier for you to get more visitors from search engines. Plus, we could all use more traffic, right?
Keyword research is an important factor in the success of a niche website. By identifying and targeting the right keywords, you can drive more qualified traffic to your website and increase your chances of converting those visitors into customers. In addition to following the guidelines I mentioned, it is also important to regularly review and adjust your keyword strategy as needed to ensure that you are targeting the most effective keywords for your business. It's also a good idea to track your website's performance and analyze search traffic to see how well your keyword strategy is working and to identify opportunities for improvement.
We are satisfied with that much, and we wish you a wonderful day and fruitful marketing.
