Are you aware of the extra time you have to work on SEO? [A bit of irony here] Actually, I've tried to compile a list of quick actions you can take to move higher in Google or Yahoo results. It is important to note that submitting your website to search engines does not guarantee a high ranking or indexation. Search engines use complex algorithms to determine the relevance and quality of a website and update their indexes regularly. Therefore, it is important to focus on creating high-quality, relevant content and building backlinks to your site as well as submitting it to search engines.
1. Expand your search engine list.
There are many available. You can also get a list of many free services. Or simply set aside some time to complete it on your own. You can submit your website to the top 100 search engines using our free search engine submission site.
2. Expand your listing in directories.
Again, there are plenty of them available. Look for directories with higher pages. Some are arranged by page on Improvingrank.com. Take a look at the left side of the home page.
3. Check your links and clean up your HTML.
Your site should be easy for robots to navigate. Take advantage of W3C.org's tools and get a real person to see them too.
4. Get additional links to your website.
Make sure it is permanent and has at least the same PageRank as yours.
How do I get more links to my website?
There are several ways to get more links to your website:
Create quality content that people will want to engage with. This includes blog posts, infographics, videos, and other types of content that offer value to your target audience.
Reach out to other websites and ask if they would like to link to your content. This is known as "link building" and can be done through communication via email or by leaving comments on relevant blog posts.
Submit your website to online directories, such as the Open Directory Project (DMOZ) or Yahoo Directory.
Participate in online communities relevant to your industry and include a link to your website in your forum signature or profile.
Create shareable infographics, videos, and other types of content that people will want to share on social media.
Host webinars or events and mention your website in promoting the event.
Take advantage of public relations and highlight your company or website in the press.
Reach out to influencers in your industry and ask them to share your content.
Keep in mind that not all links are created equal, and the quality of the link's location and the relevance and context of the link are important factors that search engines use to evaluate the value of a link. Avoid buying links, participating in link farms, or other manipulative link-building schemes, as they can have a negative impact on your website's search engine rankings.
5. Create descriptive and keyword-rich filenames for your pages.
If you name your page new_page_1.html, you are missing out on an opportunity to improve your SEO. Names should be descriptive of the content, and keywords should keep the flow going.
6. Check the tags on your address.
The title is 90-100 characters long, so include some keywords. We understand that Google and many other search engines check it out.
7. Check your ALT tags.
Search bots are unable to display images. Make sure all your images have keyword-rich and descriptive ALT tags.
What is the alt tag in HTML?
The alt tag, also known as the "alt text attribute" or "alt description", is an HTML attribute used to describe the content of an image on a web page. The tag inside the <img> tag is used to provide a textual description of the image.
The main purpose of the alt tag is to provide a textual alternative to the image, in case the image cannot be displayed to the user. This is especially important for visually impaired users who use screen readers to navigate the Internet, as the screen reader will read the alt tag out loud to describe the image.
The alt tag is also important for search engine optimization (SEO) because it provides context to the search engine about the image and its content.
The alt tag syntax is as follows:
<img src="image. jpg" alt="This is a description of the image">
The text in the alt tag should be a short and accurate description of the image and should include keywords relevant to the image and page content.
It is also important to note that the alt tag should not be used for keyword stuffing, it should only be used to describe the image.
8. Rewrite your URL tags.
Good anchors, which are the text between the HTTP and /a tags, reinforce your site's message and keywords.
9. Go ahead and join some forums and include a link to your website in your signature.
One-way links are best placed in forums. You can also help one other person at a time.
10. Create and publish a text sitemap on your website.
Flash, Forms, Java, and JavaScript are among the many forms of navigation that spiders can't understand. Bots have a way to get around the site by creating a text sitemap.
Increasing your ranking by just 15 minutes every other day will make a huge impact.
